Charitable Purpose

To educate, promote and foster patchwork and quilting in New Zealand by providing an organising body for the the development, planning, financial management and running of the National Quilt Symposium to be held in October 2017. To further the education and enjoyment of patchwork and quilting through tutored classews, workshops, and exhibitions. To do anything else incidental or ancillary to the fufilling of these objectives

Entity Structure

Membership of the Society is automatically conferred on members of Christchurch Quilters Inc and the Canterbury Patchwork and Quilting Guild Inc. Other persons may become members of the Society on written application. The Executive Committee (consisting of not less then 10 people) is appointed by members and has the powers to implement the objectives of the Society. The Office holders are a Convenor and a Treasurer.
