Charitable Purpose

To stimulate music education in New Zealand as an integral part of general education and community life. To develop and promote music education to enhance the profile of music and increase access to music for all members of the community. To initiate and facilitate professional development opportunities. To stimulate and encourage research and the gathering of information on music education in New Zealand, and to support the activities of any agency devoted to these purposes. To facilitate contacts between the Society and the various music and arts groups within our communities. To advocate for Music Education in New Zealand.
