Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

The purposes of the Trust are: (1) To educate the community about the sacrifice of New Zealanders during the First World War. (2) To increase public understanding of the role of NZ’s military heritage in shaping NZ society. (3) To enable the community to gain a better understanding of the impact WWI had on NZ society. (4) To encourage diverse participation by the community in activities relating to the above purposes. (5) To distribute any surplus funds to charitable organisations in the Geraldine district.
