Charitable Purpose

Mauria Te Pono is a kaupapa Māori organisation focused on supporting whānau to create meaningful and lasting change in their lives. Our purpose is to strengthen whānau through connection, lived experience, tikanga Māori and practical support — particularly across alcohol and other drug harm, recovery, hauora and whānau wellbeing. We believe in walking alongside whānau, restoring mana and creating opportunities for people to grow in their own strength.
