Charitable Purpose

The Kindness Institute's aim is for vulnerable youth to develop inner resources in order to reach their own unique potential. TKI runs youth programs that are culturally responsive, community mandated and rangatahi-led. We have youth representation at all levels of the organisation, allowing rangatahi to lead their own solutions. We know education is a powerful tool in addressing the youth mental health crisis in Aotearoa. We give rangatahi the tools they need to manage stress, improve their mental health and resilience and foster positive connections with others; this is the primary purpose of our organisation. Through stress management, mindfulness and yoga, The Kindness Institute supports vulnerable communities to transform their own lives.
