Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

Te Puna i Rangiriri Trust is a cultural and arts trust based in Tauranga Moana and aims to uphold 'kaupapa māori' within Tauranga Moana and the surrounding districts. The Trust's mission is to be the leading provider of authentic māori initiatives in the region providing programmes and events around Matariki ' the māori new year', kaupapa waka - all things waka, mau rakau - traditional weaponry, kapa haka - māori culture and māori traditional and non traditional sports.

Entity Structure

We have a board of trustees at the top. Below the trustees is our General Manager who is contracted part time to manage the Trust's programmes and events. The delivery teams are all sub-contracted, and the community events are supported by a core group of volunteers
