Purpose & Structure


Charitable Purpose

Hope Vineyard exists to provide religious services/activities. We have a focus on alleviating health concerns and poverty in the greater Palmerston North area through collaborating with other agencies, businesses and the city council, the provision of education, mentoring and training, by investing in volunteers and through encouraging deep social connections. In specific we exist; (a) To demonstrate concern for the social, psychological, physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the community. (b) To establish, maintain and develop programmes and centres for people especially those who are homeless, unemployed or who are disadvantaged in any way. (c) To provide teaching and training opportunities. (d) To promote and encourage the development of, and to provide facilities, for community and family recreation. (e) To promote the physical, mental, moral and spiritual advancement of people in the community and to rehabilitate such people where necessary in a Christian environment (trunc)

Entity Structure

A Trust Board oversees the governance of Hope Vineyard, and Vision and Management Teams mees regularly to cast vision for Hope Vineyard and to consider operational direction. Day to day operations are managed through the Pastors and the Management Team. This board comprises church and industry leaders from throughout the country. We are based in Palmerston North, with a focus on the inner city and surrounding areas. We operate under a trust deed which requires us to have between 4 and 7 trustees
