Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

To advance education by increasing all-ages audience awareness, engagement and appreciation of Film, moving image literacy and moving image culture; providing access to high quality and culturally diverse alternatives to mainstream Film; supporting the professional development of industry practitioners that connect all-ages audiences; and upholding the media related aims of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (see Deed for full description).

Entity Structure

We are based in Wellington. Our Deed requires that we have between three and nine Trustees. We currently have six Trustees who comprise our governance board. We have an Executive Director who manages day to day operations (also a Trustee). We will be appointing an industry advisory board.
