Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

To educate the community of the roles and sacrifices of members of Whakarewarewa who engaged in Military conflicts and actions from the New Zealand Wars to the present day. To encourage diverse participation by the community in projects and activities relating to the above purposes. To research, confirm and ratify eligibility of persons including those other than Tuhourangi/Ngati Wahiao descent who by marriage or circumstance, to be added to the names of Remembrance on the archway.
