Charitable Purpose

To be a Community Housing Provider for the Region. Currently there is no Social Housing in Kaipara. To support those whanau and others who are unable to access affordable housing and who meet the MSD criteria, into quality housing as part of a long term strategy to improve outcomes.

Entity Structure

He Kainga Kaipara is a Trust dedicated to delivering Social Housing, including Tenancy Management. It is a subsidiary of Parent Nga Maunga Whakahii o Kaipara, the entity established in 2012 to manage the Claim Settlement of the Five Marae of Ngati Whatua o Kaipara. It has a Trust Deed and a Trust Board of Three.
