Charitable Purpose

The charitable objects and purposes are the following: To establish temporary accommodation centres and provide basic necessities for the women and their children who are vulnerable and in need of temporary housing;To provide counselling whether spiritual, psychological or legal;To provide education and training for skill development;To raise public awareness of Women's Refuges and similar organizations;To support and help immediate communities as necessary; and to raise funds.

Entity Structure

Upon registration, the Trustees will elect the chairman,secretary,treasurer and 2 directors (projects and communications) to manage, control and administer the Trust property as well as to exercise its powers under the Trust Deed. The Trustees will adopt means of making known the activities and objects of the AWRI Trust as the Trustees deem expedient. The Trust will seek,raise,accept,and receive donations,subsidies,grants,endowments,gifts,legacies, and bequests either in money or in kind for all or any of the AWRI Trust's purposes.
