Charitable Purpose

Northland College Farm Trust provides students with the opportunity to learn and engage in farming, forestry and apiculture creating opportunities and pathways for tertiary education, and employment opportunities in these agricultural industries. Northland College Farm Trust aims to protect, develop and maintain the College Farm and its assets for the benefit of the students of Northland College so it can continue to provide agricultural education for the youth of Northland.

Entity Structure

Northland College Farm Trust oversees and monitors the farm that sits on site at Northland College. Currently, there are five board members that constitute the governance board for the Trust, headed by a chairperson. The College farm itself is managed by a farm governance committee made up at present of 7 members. Lincoln University supports the teaching of agriculture in the College and the learning pathway from the College into tertiary education provided by Lincoln.
