Charitable Purpose

The purposes of the trust is: - To promote Chinese cultural heritage in the Bay of Plenty - To train Chinese descendants and interested locals in the knowledge of Chinese language and culture - To enlarge/enrich the Chinese influence in the Bay area - To encourage the Chinese community to be involved in local multicultural activities - To promote charitable activities to benefit the Chinese

Entity Structure

The trust is governed by a board of trustees which must have at least 3 members as stated in the trust deed. Three people will make up the Chairperson, secretary, and treasurer roles as appointed among themselves or non-trust members. The activities of the trust will be limited to Bay of Plenty, and the office will be in such place in New Zealand as the Board of Trustees may from time to time determine. The society receives monetary donations from its members and Chinese organisations.
