Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

To promote educate and encourage the proper use of radio-telephone equipment. Provide channel 66 – Boat safety on Lakes Wanaka and Hawea which is a communication channel. Provide assistance to emergency services. Provide access to educational courses and material via members as required for VHF radio use. Maintain general radio repeaters for community safety and for private operators who link to the network. Provide an operational network link for local educational institutions using internet.
