Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

Mission statement: On the Bright Side Charitable Trust The goal of the trust is to enhance the local Eden Terrace community by upgrading and beautifying the local environs – and ultimately encouraging monarch butterfly, bird and bee corridors in central Auckland. The trust maintains and promotes the community garden on the corner of Aitken Terrace and Bright St, Eden Terrace. It also maintains the ‘Kowhai Butterly Wall’ and tunnel directly opposite, a huge artwork which the trust funded.

Entity Structure

The Trust is based in Eden Terrace, Auckland. Our Trust Deed states that we must have no less than 4 or no more than 7 Trustees. We currently have 7 trustees including 3 executive positions: chairperson, treasurer and secretary.
