Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

The University of Waikato Basketball Club (UWBC) has charitable status and has recently become a core member of the University of Waikato Combined Sports (UWSC). UWSC is a governing body with charitable status, and currently has six other University of Waikato sports clubs affiliated.

Entity Structure

The UWBC is based in UniRec gym at the University of Waikato. Our constitution states we must have a minimum of three and can have a maximum of eight Office Bearers. We currently have eight Office Bearers, including our Executive positions: President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. The UWBC is affiliated to the Waikato Student Union (WSU), which provides us with support and can help with funding.
