Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

Kitty Korner is a Charitable Trust that provides education, subsidised cat, kitten, dog desexing within the Waitomo District Council Area to allow our community the means to desex their companion animals in an attempt to reduce the number of unwanted offspring. We also take unwanted kittens and desex them before rehoming them appropriately.

Entity Structure

Kitty Korner operates out of Atkinson's Vets Te Kuiti Clinic. We have an office in their building and a number of our kittens are rehomed from this clinic. We have the full support of the veterinarian team as well as other staff support. We currently have 5 Trustees and a secretary who is not a Trust member. We meet on a regular basis and have a member of Atkinson' executive at our meetings for support and ideas.
