Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

Funds will be used for; - The provision of physical wants of destitute, poor, or helpless persons. - The education (physical, mental, or social) of the poor or indigent - The promotion of athletic sports or wholesome recreations - The encouragement of skill, industry, and good citizenship - The promotion of the disengaged or underprivileged persons of New Zealand, and in particular to assist people to overcome barriers to realising and maximising their personal development as good citizens.

Entity Structure

Te Tamawai Trust operates as two separate brands, The WaterBoy & Taku Wairua. Taku Wairua is a personal development program based of four pillars; Belonging & Identity, Self Discovery, Goal Setting, Citizenship. The WaterBoy works to break down barriers to give disadvantaged and deserving youth opportunities to participate in sport. Income is sourced through private sponsors/supporters, and trust funds that are set up to promote activities in line with Te Tamawai Trust work.
