Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

To encourage development through play for children in our community by providing affordable access to a wide range of quality and educational toys for children and infants aged zero to twelve years. To foster and encourage community engagement through facilitating a strong volunteer program that supports and encourages a wide range of community members to engage in the operation and daily running of the Library.

Entity Structure

We are a non-profit community group with a management committee of three members, who fill four positions of president, treasurer, secretary and toy officer, the group also consists of volunteers who contribute to fundraising and operational activities. We are members of the Toy Library Federation of New Zealand, which provides support and access to promotional and organisational resources but does not have any operational input to our Toy Library.
