Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

Franklin Neighbourhood Support Inc. works alongside the NZ Police, Neighbourhood Support NZ and other community organisations to raise the profile and encourage the development of the concept of neighbourhood support in the Franklin area. Our mission is to create a safer, more caring community, reduce the occurrence and effects of criminal offending, strengthen community networks and improve quality of life. We do this by attending initial meetings with a coorindator and the NZ Police to discuss the purpose of setting up a neighbourhood support in their street and continue the relationship by monthly newsletters and support to coordinators where required. We attend and run community events to encourage neighbourhood support membership.
