Charitable Purpose

Advancement of Education by Connecting and Resourcing Local Science Communities House of Science South Waikato was founded with vision is to raise scientific literacy. We aim to achieve that by resourcing and connecting our local science community. Our core values are Curiosity, Collaboration and Community. Teachers, students and the wider community can access our diverse programmes and educational materials, which include: A comprehensive science resource library for primary, intermediate and secondary schools Teacher professional development We hope to be able to offer the following in due course: After school and holiday programmes Robotics club Special events

Entity Structure

We have a head office based in Cambridge. We currently have three Trustees that constitute our governance board, and in addition one executive position: Treasurer. We are affiliated with a national body, House of Science, which provides guidance and support but does not control or in any way direct our operation
