Charitable Purpose

The Fundraising Institute of New Zealand’s adopted mission is to “inspire, create, and strengthen confidence in giving and generosity across Aotearoa New Zealand that leads to positive impact. The main objects of the Institute are to provide education to ensure ethical fundraising practice that benefits the public through the work and endeavours of recipient organisations; and to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the charitable and not-for-profit sectors.

Our national office is based in Wellington and we have three regional committees: Northern (Auckland), Central (Wellington) and Southern (Christchurch). Our Rules and Constitution states that we must have one member elected by each region and not more than six voting members elected by voting members, no more than two of which can be corporate members.
