Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

Our purpose is to ensure the revitalisation of Te Reo Māori o Pare Hauraki. This means ensuring that we create opportunities for our people of Hauraki to engage in language wānanga that are held here on the Coromandel Peninsular. Māori language throughout Aotearoa is struggling and our aim is to ensure that our language is available, via wānanga that are held on our marae and that all people are able to access a way to learn and revitalise our language.

Entity Structure

We are a small Charitable Trust and we currently have 5 trustees. Chairperson, Tresurer, Secretary and two trustees. We also have two patrons Nancy Gage and Paul Majurey as documented in our 2017 AGM minutes.
