Our purpose is to educate people about digital cultures – how the technological shapes the social, cultural and political. We provide a hub for this work in Aotearoa, conducting research, supporting students through workshops, and publishing in a variety of media.

We are based in Auckland, but seek to create an informal network of researchers across Aotearoa, including ties to like-minded institutes in Europe, the Americas and Asia.
