Charitable Purpose

The purpose is advancing the education of New Zealanders in relation to world issues by hosting seminars, forums, conferences and policy programmes on leadership and important issues for New Zealand including climate change, technology and inequality/tolerance; publishing and providing educational articles and other research materials online; encouraging non-partisan debate on critical issues; and any other activities that foster leadership to contribute to the development of New Zealand society.

The Aspen Institute New Zealand (Institute) comprises the Aspen Institute New Zealand Charitable Trust (Trust CC55762) and the Aspen Institute New Zealand Limited (Company). The Trust is the parent and strategic arm of the Institute while the Company is the Institute's operational arm and attracts donations in order to carry out the Institute's charitable purposes.
