Mataura Marae's purpose is to provide and improve a heathy and safe environment for our community and surrounding communities. A place for all of our tamariki to come and grow with the Marae,

Entity Structure

Mataura Marae is based in Mataura tucked away in the end corner. Our constitution states that we must have between 7-9 committee members, currently we have 7 with 4executive positions that consist of a chairman, executive chairman, administrator and a treasurer. We are affiliated with many exterior networks like Te Putahitanga o te Waipounamu, Department of internal affairs and Te puni kokiri and with the support from these organisations we have been receiving governance training, guidance and support but does not control or in any way direct out operations.
