Charitable Purpose

To promote, uphold,maintain and develop the traditional treasures, practices, histories, philosophies, arts,crafts,stories, songs & dances of our forebears; to administer and preserve the interests of the Te Hau Kareti Charity Trust and to use the income derived from those interests to be applied for the purposes of promoting health, social and economic wellfare, and education within the community as well as the spiritual wellbeing of said peoples under the mantle of our Lord God of Hosts.

Entity Structure

We have our Office in Omahu, Hastings. We are associated with 4 support groups and one Cultural performance Group. Our trust deed states that we can have up to five Trustees but currently have 3 which constitute our executive governance board. As per the Constitution membership is open to all members of the public. Voting members may attend and vote at all General and Special meetings of the Trust.
