Charitable Purpose

To inspire and grow the Kaikōura community toward resilience, self-reliance, and environmental responsibility. Promote, establish and support: Health and well-being, educational opportunities, and the safety and security of residents in and around the Kaikōura District. Sustainable housing, resource management, and ethical opportunities to create employment; communication, connectivity, and transport options; funding to any public or charitable body to assist in any and all of the above.

Entity Structure

We are based in Kaikoura. Our trust deed states that we must have between three and seven Trustees. We currently have five Trustees that administers our governance board, including four executive positions: Chair, Vice-Chair, Treasurer and Secretary. It is our aim to raise money by donation, subscription or otherwise and to pay and apply the same whether directly or through other bodies in furtherance of the objectives of the trust. The trust will not borrow or loan money.
