Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

To provide free/low cost use and access by the public to the Waitakere Union Healthcare facilities for healthcare purposes. By extension to alleviate poverty by removing the cost constraints on many in their endeavour to access high quality healthcare.

Entity Structure

Located on the Waitakere hospital grounds, we operate under a relatively flat structure due to the small size of the Centre. We are owned by a collective of Unions. 2 directors have been appointed to represent the unions to provide support but do not interfere with the day-to-day operations of the Health Centre. A Clinical Director is responsible for the medical operations of the Centre and a Practice Manager manages the administrative aspects.
