Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

To oversee the operation of the Hauraki Repair and Reuse Centre for the public benefit of the Hauraki community. To provide resource recovery facilities that offer an alternative to landfill and allow products to be repurposed, reused, or repaired. To be an agent for recyclable materials where deemed appropriate, such as e-waste, soft plastics, and teracycle. To diminish the waste stream in the Hauraki community in line with stated strategies of local, regional, and national governments. To educate the community about the economic, social, cultural, and environmental benefits of reducing waste going to landfill. To provide other support and assistance consistent with this charitable purpose.
