Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

Our purpose is to provide on request or availability " Tau Koura" to local Marae and families as tikanga and manakitanga for this matauranga. "Tau Koura " the traditional Maori method of using native fern bound together with native flax and secured to the lake bed to facilitate the gathering of native fresh water crawfish. To provide education and training in Tau Koura, its cultural significance, history and methodology. To provide resources and support to help re-establishTau Koura in the community.
