Te Pātaka o Rākaihautū / Banks Peninsula Geopark Trust purpose is to deliver Te Pātaka o Rākaihautū / Banks Peninsula Geopark an engagement and educational platform: informing locals and visitors about the region's geology, landscape, flora, fauna, archaeology, histories, communities, and organisations. The Geopark will encourage the local Canterbury population to engage with Banks Peninsula through trails, sign boards, open air learning, field trips, research, experiences, and digital interface
