Charitable Purpose

A Maori Marae Reservation for the common use of the Ngatimanuhiakai hapu as a site for a marae and meeting place. To uphold the tikanga and kawa of the people of Te Aroha Marae.

Entity Structure

The Marae is governed by an elected group of Trustees, to be no less than five and no more than seven. These trustees are selected or nominated by the beneficiaries of the Marae and serve for a period of up to three years. Roles of a Chairperson, vice chairperson, secretary, treasurer and a booking person shall be up for election annually, decided by the current trustees.
