Charitable Purpose

To educate and train people, particularly youth, about safety regarding land and water activities. This education and training may be carried out by: Providing education and training to learn and understand the natural environment and how to keep safe in land and water environments; Providing community development courses, seminars and workshops; Providing leadership training programmes and workshops; Establishing and operating safety education programmes

Entity Structure

The Trust is based out of Whaingaroa and provides services throughout Aotearoa. The Trust Deed states we must have between one and five trustees. We currently have one trustee. Due to the location of physical resources and relationships, Tamakai Makaurau and Whaingaroa will be a key operating locations. The Trust is affiliated to other Trusts in Aotearoa that provide waka voyaging education, but those Trusts do not control or in any way direct operations.
