Charitable Purpose

The Discalced Carmelite Nuns are an entity whose main purpose is worship and to provide others with a variety of spiritual benefits by: *providing space and opportunity for worship and prayer; *consoling, guiding and praying for those troubled and in need by letter, phone, email and visits; *groups etc using our chapel and facilities for services, baptism, funerals and other celebrations; *providing opportunities for private retreats or time out and initiating people into the Christian life.

Entity Structure

The Charity has been established as a Trust. The Trustees are made up of sisters of the the Discalced Carmelite Order belonging to the Diocese of Auckland, New Zealand. There a 4 Trustees. Every 3 years the Chapter will elect a Prioress and three Councillors who will become Trustees and manage the Trust.
