About Us
We are a Kaupapa Māori based initiative that strives to revitalise, reconnect and support the participatory growth in learnings of waka sailing and voyaging practices including traditional celestial star navigation. Our purpose is to grow, support and sustain learning within Kaupapa Waka. The connection with te taiao (the natural environment) and the promotion of outdoor participatory, relational and sensory experiences on the moana (ocean) are part of our core practice.
