Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

To provide mentorship and physical activity opportunities for at risk youth in South Auckland and the wider Auckland community. Specifically, WWRF employs mentors to work with young people referred to it by social services (Oranga Tamariki / Ministry of Social Development). As well as receiving 1:1 mentoring support with life skills, mentees can choose to undertake a gym-based programme where they are introduced to the sport of boxing and the benefits of physical exercise.

WWRF is governed by an incorporated board. We have a chief executive, chief mentor and team of 5 mentors. We plan to expand to include tutors for core educational subjects, and a compliance manager.
