Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

The purpose of the Trust will be to help end the systemic oppression of all animals and the natural world. In particular the Trust will: 1 campaign for the rights of nonhuman animals and marginalised people; 2 provide purpose-focused educational content for the public and other activists; 3 collaborate with existing groups to create a stronger community of advocates.

Entity Structure

The office of the Trust will be in such place in Aotearoa New Zealand as the Board of Trustees may from time to time determine. Our trust deed states that the Board will comprise of no less than two trustees and no more than ten trustees. We currently have two trustees that constitute our Board, including three executive positions, chairperson, secretary and treasurer, with the latter two being combined.
