Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

To facilitate and undertake the organisation of cultural events and activities as part of the Tauranga Moana Pride Festival. The Tauranga Moana Pride Festival supports Rainbow communities by: Providing members of the Rainbow community the opportunity to participate and get involved in events that respect their needs, Supporting the wider community by giving the opportunity to become involved with the rainbow community and events, & Showcasing diversity.

Entity Structure

The Society shall have a managing committee (“the Committee”), comprising the following persons: i. The Chair/President; ii. The Secretary; iii. The Treasurer; and iv. Such other Members as the Society shall decide. Only Members of the Society can be Committee Members and there shall be a minimum of 3 Committee Members in addition to the Officers. The Society currently has 20 Members.
