Charitable Purpose
To primarily support the activities of the No. 16 Squadron, City of Tauranga, being a branch of The Air Corps Association of New Zealand Incorporated, including retaining funds for the provision of a premises (if required) as a primary objective, the provision of uniforms, technology, and equipment, financial support for cadets including scholarships and hardship assistance, and advancement of education through the activities of the Squadron.

Entity Structure
It is a charitable trust (two interested trustees & a professional independent trustee). The interested trustees are members of the Board for the No. 16 Squadron however their trusteeship is not contingent on their membership on the Board. The Squadron is run by a Board primarily made up of parents for children in the Squadron. The Trust is a completely separate entity and is not bound by the decisions of the Board however such decisions will be influential when determining need.
