Charitable Purpose

Providing Maori Warden services to communities in and around the Te Upoko Region spanning from the Horowhenua to Wellington including Wairarapa. Prevention and reduction of crime, drug and alcohol abuse, prevention of elder abuse and promote the tikanga and kawa of Maori. Provide disaster relief and Civil Defence response and support

Entity Structure

We have a head office based in Wellington New Zealand with 5 branches across the greater region. We must have 6 board members and be solely for the purposes of providing Maori Wardens services within this region. Management includes active District Commanders. We include executive positions, Chairperson, Deputy Chair, Secretary and Treasurer. 3x District Commanders - Executive We are appointed Maori Wardens with powers to act under Section 7 of the Maori Community Development Act 1962
