Charitable Purpose

Improving the lives of horses through practical action and education. Fostering the Five Freedoms of Horse Welfare through: - rescue and rehabilitation - education and care in the community - research, development and advancement of ethical and reciprocal horse husbandry practices. Facilitating people to positively engage with horses, for healing, growth and vocational purposes. Encouraging ethical horse practices within the equine community.

Our home base is in Northland, at The Farm, a 1000 acre multipurpose farm, education centre, family destination, and growing community. We do the majority of our practical and veterinary work here. We also make visits to provide education, practical care and advice offsite. Our trust deed states that we must have between two and six Trustees. We currently have seven Trustees that constitute our governance board, including three executive positions: chairperson, treasurer and secretary.
