Charitable Purpose

To administer and preserve the land and marae reservation for the benefit of the beneficiaries and to apply any income received in relation to the marae, for the purposes of promoting health, social, cultural and economic welfare, education and vocational training and general advancement in the life of the beneficiaries which means those who have verified whakapapa to Ngati Hawea, Ngati Hinemoa and Ngati Hori of Ngati Kahungunu Iwi. There are approximately 235 registered whānau members and many unregistered, living elsewere including overseas, approx up to or over 1000
