Charitable Purpose

Furthering exclusively charitable purposes in accordance with the law of NZ for the benefit of the Tauranga Moana Iwi - Ngāi Te Rangi, Ngāti Ranginui & Ngāti Pūkenga. Receiving and holding title to Mauao (Mt Maunganui), protecting and preserving the mauri of Mauao, and facilitating and maintaining the natural, physical and cultural integrity of Mauao. Mauao was vested in the trustees of the Mauao Trust under the Mauao Historic Reserve Vesting Act 2008.
