Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

To research, revive, preserve, and promote traditional Māori practices, creative and performing arts, and sporting activities in all their aspects, including training and educating with a Māori world view. This includes supporting Māori participation and excellence in cultural events and sporting engagements across Aotearoa, ensuring representation of iwi within various Māori sports codes and cultural competitions. To facilitate, organise, and promote the development of cultural performing arts, including mixed media art forms, showcasing the richness of Māori culture, supporting and cooperating with similar organisations. To focus on empowering and transforming the mindset of iwi Māori from a Te Ao Māori perspective.
