Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

We provide land-based search and rescue capability and deliver search and rescue services to the New Zealand Government's appointed lead agencies for emergencies. We support other search and rescue organisations and evolve relations that will support operational, training and mentoring outcomes. We also undertake and encourage activities that reduce the likelihood and impact of an event occurring, and encourage readiness activities that create better outcomes for the lost, missing and injured.
