To create safe spaces to learn, use and normalise te reo Māori: -Inspire people of Waitaha to promote the use of te reo in all aspects of life and within traditional Māori practices -Promote and assist individuals in attaining knowledge and understanding of te reo Māori -Preserve and promote the voice, culture and participation of tāngata Māori through te reo -Promote te reo Māori as one of the official languages of Aotearoa -Work cooperatively with others in te reo Māori development area
