The purpose of the Trust is to be a respectful guardian of TUMA style mau taiaha and mau rākau; to retain, teach and share mātauranga Māori for future generations. The intent is also to foster improvement in the health and wellbeing of Māori and the wider community of Aotearoa through the TUMA style martial art.
