Tūī Āwhina Services is a community-focused organisation serving Matakana Island and Rangiwaea Island, providing essential advocacy and support services for our community. Tūī Āwhina Services is driven by its Mission: “Empowering through Āwhina, Elevating with Mana Manaaki,” and Vision: "To establish a sustainable and culturally-grounded support system where tāngata and whānau are at the heart of what we do. In all that we do, we uphold Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles and practice the values of: Manaakitanga - Caring for each other and fostering positive relationships; Tinorangatiratanga - Empowering for Māori, of Māori, by Māori solutions; Whakapapa - Actioning the principles of whakapapa ensuring we honour our past and build a better future; Kaitiakitanga - Building and Maintaining relationships with others through shared experiences.
