Charitable Purpose

The Billy Guyton Foundation honours Billy Guyton’s legacy by supporting individuals and whānau affected by concussion, repetitive head trauma, traumatic brain injury (TBI) and Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE) across Aotearoa New Zealand. Inspired by the vision and advocacy of Shane Christie, we provide education, advocacy and practical support to help people access assessment, treatment and ongoing care, raise awareness of brain health, promote safer practices in sport and communities, and support research that improves understanding, treatment and outcomes. Our kaupapa transforms hardship into hope, ensuring no one faces these challenges alone, with compassion, connection and public benefit.
